Pet of the Week: Sampson

While he was in our foster program, Sampson did very well in a home. He is fully housebroken and potty trained, and he seems to be very comfortable in a crate. His fosters said that he was the best boy in their home! Sampson is also incredibly smart. He quickly learned commands like “sit”, “stay” and “crate”. He is treat motivated and is eager to please. His favorite hobbies include chasing squirrels, playing with puzzle toys that allow him to work for eating treats, sticking his head out during car rides, long walks and hikes, and tough, chewable toys. He loves to keep himself busy. He’s a playaholic! If you’re looking for a watchdog, Sampson is your boy! He will watch the window to make sure there are no bad guys around, or to let you know when your amazon package has arrived -- no need to keep your package notifications on! While he is a personal home alarm system, he welcomes all visitors with open arms. He truly loves everyone. Even though Sampson is very confident, he is not completely fearless. He tries his best to be brave around vacuums, hairdryers, and blenders. But, he’ll stand behind you just in case they become too scary. One thing he doesn’t fear is baths! He loves to sit in a bathtub and get a nice, soapy massage! Sampson is the best boy, and we simply cannot understand why he is still at our shelter. He’s guaranteed to make you smile at least four times a day! He enjoys the spotlight all to himself, so needs a home where he can be the only animal in the house. He can’t wait to show his new family his amazing personality!
